problems installing xen

I am trying to get xen installed on a server but am having trouble
booting the xen kernels. Everything is compiled locally from /usr/src
with cvs date 2009.08.01.06.00.00 and from /usr/pkgsrc with cvs tag
pkgsrc-2009Q3. I have installed two kernels: MONOLITHIC and
XEN3PAE_DOM0. The xen kernel is compiled from sysutils/xenkernel33.
The entry in /boot.cfg is

menu=Boot Xen with 64MB for PAE dom0:load /netbsd-current-20090801-XEN3PAE_DOM0
console=pc;multiboot /usr/pkg/xen3-kernel/xen.gz dom0_mem=64M

The MONOLITHIC kernel boots fine (see dmesg below). In contrast, the
xen kernel immediately writes a long series of 'exit' lines to the
console and then reboots. All of these kernels (MONOLITHIC or the xen
kernels) boot fine on a laptop.

The primary differences I can think of between these machines are the
CPUs (see below) and the amount of memory (4 Gb on the xen server
vs. 2 Gb on the laptop).

Can anyone identify a problem with this setup? How can I discover
where the problem is?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Brook
