Yes... though it's possible they may have the same uxterm issues (and
that would be very interesting to find out) - more in other thread.

Alpha still builds against Xorg 1.10, I think specifically to allow
the old tc drivers to work, but it includes xwsfb, so an Alpha kernel
with the cfb and other changes in the xwsfb-xorg.diff should just be
able to run a Xwsfb X server. I should probably open a second front in
Eastasia and try to build a set of 1.20 Alpha binaries for people on
port-alpha to test :-p
