I have a kernel with all PCI-FIXUP options enabled, but it didn't
change anything.

The last thread seems to address the problem, but without offering a
working solution - at least I haven't found any.

At the moment, I am downloading freebsd 9.0, and will see how
successful that will be, and what the dmesg-output will
provide...
