It should be possible to make it go, but the last work I did on it was 
in 2002, so I've no idea whether it'll still work, let alone with modern 
Linux binaries.

This appears to be incorrect for NetBSD/cats.  Looking at 
<http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/sys/arch/cats/conf/GENERIC?rev=1.117>, 
there's no mention of COMPAT_LINUX.
