But the downloaded image does. Dd it to ld2, reboot and remove the sd card
(stupidly the pinebooks prefer booting from sd card over booting from eMMC).

Well, it's just that I had an existing installation on the SD card, and no spare, and didn't feel like re-doing it.

In the end, I saved fdisk(8) and disklabel(8) output for both ld0 and ld2, then dd'ed the first GB or so from the SD card to eMMC.

I adjusted the mbr (fdisk(8) picked up the changed disk size) and disklabel (disklabel(8) didn't, so I copied the entries from the saved ld2 disklabel), newfs(8)ed, then dumped and restored.

I had to open the Pinebook case because the bloody SD card wouldn't come out, but then the thing booted from eMMC.

Running now. Turns out 16 GB of disk space aren't what they used to be, though.

Cheerio,
hauke
