Any help will be appreciated. Should I fill a PR?
Could you see if it's a ctype(3) abuse issue?

netbsd-x260$ export LIBC_ALLOWCTYPEABUSE=true
netbsd-x260$ xephem

It works now.

Thanks. I will see about this, but I'm unclear on the status of xephem
upstream. It does seem there is a new maintainer.

I suspect NetBSD is fussier about ctype(3) and we'll have to fix it, but
I would very much want anything we fix filed upstream.

Hello Greg,

Thanks for your help! I subscribed to the XEphem mailing list a few weeks ago, and it seems the project
is still supported by an active community, even after the death of its author.

They released 4.3.0 version with last improvements from the author:

https://github.com/XEphem/XEphem

The mailing list:

https://groups.io/g/xephem

I'm willing to run any tests if necessary.

Thanks so much.
Ramiro.
