Testing rust 1.57.0



Hi,

you may have noticed that pkgsrc-wip has version 1.57.0
committed.  I'm on the verge of committing that version to
pkgsrc-current.

Based on the description and table in

I've drawn up the following table as a normal text file, and
crossed off completed tests and ongoing actions.

However, I also now have a pkgsrc-wip update to 1.58.0 lined up,
and would therefore like to get 1.57.0 into pkgsrc proper as an
interim step.  So...  I'm asking how much more testing we'll need
before I can commit the 1.57.0 update, and I'm also soliciting
filling in some of the blanks in the table below.  Doing all the
steps below is a Lot of work, and so far I've not seen anything
pointing in the direction of an issue with rust itself.
