} I think your problem is that the default mysql implementation has
} changed to mariadb, and your system has not yet been updated to cope
} with that.

} 0) first make  a backup, and then a second backup
} 1) figure out what you have to do to convert from mysql 5.7 to mariadb
} 2) export your mysql data
} 3) remove mysql and install maridb
} 4) restore
} 5) install p5-DBD-mysql

     Alternatively to all this, add

MYSQL_VERSION_DEFAULT=          57

to /etc/mk.conf and re-install p5-DBD-mysql
