Still improving the response. Excuse me. After changing LANG to
en_US.UTF-8 LibreOffice is working well, but I still don't get accented
vowels in the editors Texmaker, Texstudio, Texworks and Kate. In
Texmacs I only get the circumflex ("â"), and no other.
