I perhaps did not look deep enough. If it's just tools to convert
from/to TIFF an WebP, then dropping them from libwebp package and adding
webp-tools seems like the thing to do. Until someone does that, I
recommend either my hotfix or the equivalent on the libwebp side. The
mind still boggles a bit thinking about a WebP picture in TIFF
container being converted to WebP in WebP container … but well. I went
by the Linux From Scratch book which mentioned WebP in TIFF as optional
and TIFF in WebP as recommened, based on a lack of separation between
tools and lib.

It's still a bit of packaging insanity, even if manageable with hacking
around. The WebP folks should provide the library separately from
tools. Should be possible to do that from a common repository. But
then, nowadays you can be happy that folks do release tarballs at all.
