Something local; I have:
$ pkg_info fish-3.1.0

     ] 9:34 AM
Information for fish-3.1.0:
....
$ fish -v

     ] 9:35 AM
fish, version 3.1.0
...

(recent pkgsrc, updating now, NetBSD-current amd64).
