python38 build failure on macOS 10.14

Hi,

I've just done a fresh bootstrap of -current and attempted to install 
lang/python38 on macOS 10.14.6. 

I get the following error:

I get a similar error when building lang/python37 (hence the fresh bootstrap to
make sure there was no cruft left lying around). 

Anyone got any ideas? Happy to provide further logs, etc.
