gvfs, samba

I found the following dependency chain

xfce4
xfce4-thunar
gvfs
samba

and something else wants talloc which conflicts with samba (3).

Now, I see samba is optional in gvfs, and I wonder:

  should we flip it to off
  should we change it to samba4


The net/samba (3) and net/samba4  DESCR files do not give statements
about if 3 is mainstream and 4 bleeding edge vs 3 crufty and 4
mainstream.  I bet it's that 4 is normal now.

Thoughts?  Barring none, I'll perhaps do something after I investigate.
