Announcing the pkgsrc-2018Q2 release

The pkgsrc developers are proud to announce the 59th quarterly release
of pkgsrc, the cross-platform packaging system. pkgsrc is available
with more than 18000 packages, running on 23 separate platforms; more
information on pkgsrc itself is available at https://www.pkgsrc.org/

In total, 181 packages were added, 15 packages were removed, and 1995
package updates (to 1414 unique packages) were processed since the
pkgsrc-2018Q1 release.

For the 2018Q2 release we welcome the following notable package
additions and changes to the pkgsrc collection:

 - 225 TeX packages updated
 - 224 python packages updated
 - 188 perl packages updated
 - 46 ruby packages updated
 - 28 ocaml packages updated
 - 15 R packges updated
 - 8 erlang packages updated
 - many updates to Xorg
 - many updates to KDE and friends
 - many updates to u-boot (mostly for ARM-based small systems)
 - emacs 26
 - firefox 60 (Extended Support Release)
 - firefox 61
 - gcc 8
 - gimp 2.10.2
 - pkgin 0.11.3
 - rust 1.27.0
 - xfce4 4.12.0

(Note that firefox 61, if built with gcc, requires gcc 6.1. In case
of difficulty, use www/firefox60.)

We say goodbye to:

 - nodejs4 (6, 8 and 10 remain)
 - postgresql92 (93, 94, 95, 96, and 10 remain)

No significant infrastructure changes were introduced (but many
comments to the source were added).

Instructions on using the binary package manager can be found at
http://pkgin.net, and pkgsrc itself can be retrieved from
https://github.com/NetBSD/pkgsrc or via cvs or tar file -- see
https://www.netbsd.org/docs/pkgsrc/getting.html. The branch name for
the 2018Q2 branch is "pkgsrc-2018Q2".
