I don't know what just happened, but now "libcaca" built on netbsd-8/i386
just fine.  The only change was updating to the latest 8.0_BETA (local
build).  It had been failing for weeks prior to this (prompting this
thread).

When I get -current rebuilt again, I'll update and try again there, too.

(pkgsrc is latest 2017Q3)
