Can also confirm that removing the plugins did not help.

I have a couple of pkgsrc build options that could *conceivably* affect things:
PKG_OPTIONS.firefox=official-mozilla-branding
PKG_OPTIONS.freetype2
JPEG_DEFAULT=libjpeg-turbo
USE_CWRAPPERS=yes

Do you have anything similar?
