Re: www/firefox insists on being "mobile"?



It was the same for me (also firefox 39.0 under -current from yesterday); the User Agent Switcher pointed by youri above worked for me too; BTW I have a laptop running FreeBSD 10.1 (actually TrueOS) with firefox 38.0, which does not have the problem.

Is this a server-side issue ?  I would check the browser ident string being sent from each version of Firefox, and spoof the NetBSD version to match exactly what the Windows one sends: my suspicion is that Yahoo does both browser and platform matching, and when it doesn’t see Mac or Windows defaults to mobile.
