The package is present in repository, but pkgin expects perl5

Trust me, it does not. Please do not mislead users, perl5 is not a package
name, it's the PKGPATH, within pkgsrc.

Again:

$ sudo pkgin in perl5
perl5 is not available on the repository
calculating dependencies... done.
nothing to do.

Whereas:

$ sudo pkgin in perl-5
calculating dependencies... done.

nothing to upgrade.

Or also:

$ sudo pkgin in perl calculating dependencies... done.

nothing to upgrade.

Or:

$ sudo pkgin in perl-5.1

nothing to upgrade.

pkgin relies on PKGNAME, I guarantee it ;)
