net/Transmission (2.21) doesn't download anything

Hello,
just updated a NetBSD Alixboard (i386) with pkgsrc-current.
What I've noticed so far, among other things, is that net/Transmission compiles 
and runs but doesn't download anything. Launching it with logs enabled, it 
shows it can find peers [1] but actually the web interface doesn't show them at 
all (always saying 0) and no download actually starts.

Tried the 2.20 on my Mac, no problems so far. Rolled back to 2.12 on the 
Alixboard, all the downloads restarted gracefully and finished in a short time.
