First of all you need to find out what's causing the bottleneck.
Maybe adding some combination of the socket options below to smb.conf
will help?

socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192

c.f. smb.conf(5) for more possible options to add.
