multimedia/gmplayer broken for several weeks now

multimedia/gmplayer has been broken for several weeks now.

Has anyone been able to build it on NetBSD-3?

I have a PR that is currently in state OPEN that details the issue
pkg/34980
http://www.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=34980

In the PR I give a quick patch that will make gmplayer compile on my system.

However, it is a truly bizarre problem, because multimeda/mplayer DOES compile just fine, and it uses the exact same code. Only difference is the addition of the gtk includes. Either gcc-3 can't handle this situation, or there is some funky stuff going on that causes a variable to drop out of an object file.

I'm just stumped.
Can anyone look at the PR and give me some pointers?

Also, please CC my email directly if you respond, I'm not subscribed.

Thanks!
