Also, this sounds like a bug too. IMHO it shouldn't be my job to figure out for ZFS how to keep track of partitions in a stable manner.
(And the partition didn't actually physically move, so that's a case I feel like ZFS should be able to handle like any other filesystem.)
I understand there might not be the manpower to fix this, which is fine, but I am hoping to at least make maintainers aware there's a problem.
