Setting wscons encoding on sparc

Hello.

I was wondering if somebody knows what's up with this:

I would understand if this was a result of "no" being unknown, however
unknown looks like this:

# wsconsctl -w encoding=nxx
wsconsctl: nxx: not a valid encoding

And also setting other encodings (I didn't try all) works:

# wsconsctl -w encoding=de
encoding -> de


This is just a qemu machine, dmesg below if that's of any help.
