Hi, Greg,Okay, I checked and, on this interface only, ipv6 was not fully disabled on my router. Now it is, and I rebooted this NetBSD system. I still see the following in ifconfig:
inet6 fe80::e654:e8ff:fe66:927d%wm0/64 flags 0 scopeid 0x1The output from "netstat -nr -f inet6" is quite long. The entries in the Gateway column are '::1', 'lo0', 'link#1', and 'fe80::1'.

How can I make NetBSD stop trying to use ipv6?Use 'ifconfig' on your netbsd machine and see whether it has IPv6 addresses. Use "netstat -nr -f inet6" and see if it has a route. If there are no addresses and no default route, postfix should very quickly try v4. While you can configure "don't do v6", I suspect you have a config problem you don't know about.
