Oh, thanks for the idea but I do not want more machines, also have a
RaspberryPi 4 but it is a flaky device.
Perhaps I should take into account the ntfs-3g filesystem from FUSE
that adr pointed here. A problem in it will not panic the whole
system. I have to check if it works, if its slowness is acceptable for
my usage and if it works with my rsync backups. Perhaps it will worth
a try!
