NetBSD 10.1 vs 9.4 x86 stability and gcc ICE

Hi,

I have my trusty ThinkPad R51 (thus intel x86 Pemtium-M CPU) that was 
running 9.4 for a long time and was very stable (except... sofware bugs 
like framebuffer loosing acceleration, unreliable sleep mode and such).
I compile on it ArcticFox browser, which on such system takes a couple 
of hours. It is a good stress test. It always compiled.

I decided to upgrade and instead of going 9.5 I went to 10.1.

I cannot finish compiling the browser. GCC will ICE out (Internal 
compiler error) after a while. If I reissue, it will stop again.

Often this is a hardware (RAM) issue, but the machine was very reliable 
and it would be a bad coincidence that it broke right the day of 
upgrading OS.

Newer compiler might be unreliable? However I guess with so many builds 
running after now 2 years, others would have noticed.

I am running 10.1 on amd64 on another laptop and there I don't have 
issues with the compilation with the default gcc.

I'm thinking of trying an older and/or newer compiler from pkg.
And check cooling, maybe the fan collected dust. One never knows...

PS: 9.x got it final release, is an update planned for 10.x too or the 
fixes do not apply?
