Trying Fedora 44 beta, I get a different error message:

Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found.

I don't have that problem when not using NVMM, although the VM is
obviously horribly slow.  I don't have that problem either with
older Linux kernels (6.12 is fine).

When not using NVMM with Fedora 44 beta, it's different but no
better:

Failed to start up manager.
systemd[1]: Freezing execution.
It happened to me some time ago with newest archlinux,  I boot from the cd, choose edit boot command, add noapic, it boots ok  I do not remember if it was the solution... try
