What you are listening doesn't came from an input audio device,
it's generated by software and send through the audio system to an
output device.

You have to "intercept" that data, by telling the software to save
the output to a file (in the case of firefox, some extension) or
using a sound server like jack and connect the output of your
application to the input of another recording software.
