As a wild guess, it is a BENGOO G9000, like:

The description says, it's an analog headset with a 3.5mm CTIA
plug. The "USB" connection is just used to power the LEDs.

When you have two audio sockets, it's probably one for
speakers and one for microphone.
The minimum that needs to exist is an adapter from the
3.5mm plug to your two audio sockets.
The headset has a button to mute the microphone.
There are also some reports that the microphone has a weak
signal.
In any case, audio is done by your computer. Please tell
what audio hardware it uses (dmesg should show) and also
report the output of 'audioctl -a' and 'mixerctl -a'
(maybe with the -d option to select the right audio device if
you have multiple).
