I did this --- it fails when inside of .xinitrc:

/usr/pkg/bin/xterm    -geometry 80x46+0+0    -title  "$(date "+%A
----- %d - %B - %Y")"    &

Something is wrong here?

You mentioned  "wrapper Skript"  -- you means "script" ? Or a specific program?

Put this in C, and compile? I did that with a PERL daemon ...
