Very belatedly replying, but been busy. Thanks for this! I've been running
NetBSD on Linode for about 11 years now. It's been solid for me, but your guide
taught me a couple of new tricks:

1. Downloading the image and writing straight to the disk
2. Using the installer disk as a swap partition

The last few upgrades I've just done with sysupgrade, but if I ever install from
scratch again or upgrade from a disk image I'll try these.
