Yes, it probably was both.
The multipart/alternative would be sent to the mailing list owner
for manual approval and will only show up on the list after that (which
could take anything from a few minutes to a few days).
The greylisting is happening to all mails that come in from unknown IP
addresses and it can't be avoided for list subscribers - as the email
address may be a lie.
Greylisting is harmless and only causes a very small delay in mail delivery.
It needs no manual intervention.
