Well, that was frustrating, but I got the file... ^C a few times and then put up with super slow nonsense - keyboard missed keypresses it was so slow, but I typed really slow and was able to get the dmesg.boot, below. Most devices offer ahci as an alternative, which usually is a lot better. Martin
