    That sounds like a nice configuration.  I think I was told years
ago that the 4000/VLC was the sweet spot because it's small, has SCSI
and uses SIMMs that were once widely available.  I think the 4000/100
might have space for more disks, which might be handy.

    If you're in Canada I can send you one of mine.  Shipping across
the Atlantic would be expensive and probably not great for the disk.

    I used to use VMS every day on Alpha and VAX 6000 25 years ago.
Probably haven't touched it since.
