that was a great response, also i read-up about mercurial and it seems just as modern, but my suggestion lies more directed at reducing infrastructure acquisition and management costs which can best be handled by outsourcing to a service like "github", but what i can't seem to figure out is that the anticipation of blockage of access by certain countries due to US trade bans seems to be mandated by the government, so if microsoft is being made to block iran by the government, wouldn't "the netbsd foundation" too be compelled to follow suit? i mean netbsd isn't allowed to export certain cryptographic components due to government regulations to be followed by all US organizations, isn't it?
also, if countries like china are blocking most US services like facebook and twitter and sometimes also github, wouldn't they also target netbsd's infrastructure? (given it's US origins).
