swi-prolog-lite : further slimming down?

i found swi-prolog-lite at http://pkgsrc.se/lang/swi-prolog-lite
and noticed that it needed "bash, gmp, readline" at runtime.
can those 3 dependencies be removed without making swipl unusable?
