As best I am aware, the POSIX IPC set (the three of them) are a direct copy of the Sys V originals (probably as implemented in Solaris, but that is a guess).
I don't recall anything IPC-related changing since I first read the Convergent Technologies manuals, circa 1985. That was almost certainly SVR1 (, based on the marketing fluff they handed us at the time).
