Hi

My kernel configuration for i386 has a line:
#pseudo-device   npf

To use npf that would need to be:
pseudo-device   npf

and then build and npf enabled kernel.

After the system has been booted from the new kernel the
next step is:
cd /dev 
MAKEDEV <device>
or
MAKEDEV all
