The first time I tried this I had no response. I shut down (power
button works OK) and tried again and I got the following error:

pckbport_start: command error

Numlock responds but I can't type anything when this message appears.

I then paged back through the boot messages and found this (I wrote it
all down):

ACPI Error: [\_PR_.CPU1._PSS] Nmaespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND
(20110623/PSARGS-392)

ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_PR_.CPU2._PSS](Node
0xfffffe810e9a7260), AE_NOT_FOUND (20110623/psparse-560)

And further back it tells me the following ACPI devices are not
configured:

MCH
FDC
SIOR
RMSC
UAR1
OMSC
PCIE
RMEM

I hope this is of some use to you.
