Fwd: Re: samba on NetBSD 5.1

OK, seems like I failed to forward it correctly
to the list, so, for future users' reference:

the below suggestion was exactly what I had
missed to do. Now samba works like a charm.
I thank everyone for their kind help and also
for their further suggestions of how to diagnose
such a problem in the future, too.

Did you copy the rc.d script from /usr/pkg/etc/rc.d or wherever it resides 
under /usr/pkg) to /etc/rc.d ?
