if init.root != /
Hello!
# man init
/ If value of the ``init.root'' sysctl node is not equal to /
at this
point, the /etc/rc process will be run inside a chroot(2)
indicated
by sysctl with the same error handling as above./
Today, i was trying to change init.root value to other than / and
noticed that inserting "/init.root=/newroot/" into /sysctl.conf/ does
not work - though "# sysctl init" shows "init.root=/newroot" after
booting. It just boots normally.
Which configuration file should i use, to pass /newroot during startup?
Manual does not mention about that clearly - as far as i notice.
PS: This is NetBSD 5.0.1 amd64
Best regards,
Cem
