changing the default boot up option

I installed NetBSD 5.0.1 on a Dell Dimension 8100 last night.  Boot up
is successful only if I choose option 4: No ACPI, No SMP.  The default
boot up option includes ACPI and SMP.

How can I change the default boot option to exclude ACPI and SMP?
