There is a bug in Xorg, when I "ssh -X" from sparc64 to i386 machine
and then start X11 client on i386, Xorg dumps core on sparc64.

Eww. Does it SIGSEGV or SIGBUS?

Ok I get the following backtrace, any ideas? It says illegal
instruction, which doesn't look very good. Compiler bug?

I doubt it.

Core was generated by `Xorg'.
Program terminated with signal 4, Illegal instruction.

Both parameters look completely bogus. And I don't see why on earth the Xserver would want to switch virtual consoles. I think something is stomping over memory. You may want to add a handful xf86Msg(X_ERROR, "..."); to XAALeaveVT() to see what's going on.

have fun
