The generic kernel is quite large. I see you only have 4MB left for
everything including disk caching, I wonder if a smaller kernel would
help. I see the INSTALL_FLOPPY kernel is smaller, but is larger than
a floppy. How can that be? The last time I used my 100MHz system
with 48MB of memory it worked fine. However it was stolen, so I
can not test.
