5.0 and raid1 - kernel dump clarification

I'm setting up raid1 on my new amd64 box, and the guide implies that 
there's no need to do old-school magic with a calculator to work out 
where kernel dumps go with the mapping of swap on the underlying drives 
and the raid setup if you're using NetBSD 5.0

Is it correct to say that you can ignore all of section 16.3.7 of the 
guide if you're running 5.0+ and that kernel dumps will just 
automagically go into the raid swap space instead of trashing things?
