I'm trying to install NetBSD 4.01 over a Fujitsu Amilo Si1520 but NetBSD does'nt recognizes the network card. If I run a xUbuntu system, the dmesg gives me

dsiliceo@amilo:~$ dmesg | grep eth0
[ 23.956321] e100: eth0: e100_probe: addr 0xdc000000, irq 21, MAC addr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
[ 37.863963] e100: eth0: e100_watchdog: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex
[ 45.132702] eth0: no IPv6 routers present

Could you give us the relevant parts of the NetBSD dmesg? There will be lines similar to vendor 0xXXXX product 0xXXXX network interface not configured".

It might also be useful to boot a 5.0_BETA install CD to see if support has been added after 4.0
