GRE and WCCP

I am working(playing) with WCCP between a Cisco router and NetBSD 4.0
(i386) running Squid 2.6.

After much research, kernel code reading, testing, Wiresharking, etc...

I'm needing a little guidance in what NetBSD does with a GRE payload,
where the protocol type is 0x883e (WCCP) instead of 0x0800 (IP)?

I know the a 'standard' GRE tunnel is working, with IP, between NetBSD and
a Cisco router.

I need to know if it is possible, with ipfilter or some other tool to take
the encapsulated WCCP packet and pass it on to Squid.
