I am essentially having this problem:

boot device: cd0
root on cd0a dumps on cd0b
vfs_mountroot: can't open root device
cannot mount root, error = 6
root device (default cd0a):
[...]

If the console worked, I'd be able to type.  Unfortunately, it doesn't want to 
listen to me. :(  I don't have the means to connect a serial console.
