Thanks.
I wanted to write a bug report for adding support, but when I run
'readelf -a /usr/pkg/bin/gsort' (after installing the coreutils
package), the output ends with:
Displaying notes found in: .note.dlopen
Owner Data size Description
FDO 0x0000007a FDO_DLOPEN_METADATA
Dlopen Metadata: [{"feature":"random-sort","description":"Support for random sorting","priority":"required","soname":["libcrypto.so.16"]}]
Just running 'gsort' or 'gsort -R' (the random-sort option) on a file
doesn't trigger the dmesg warning though.
I did find the code adding it though, in coreutils-9.12/src/sort.c:
/* Require distributions make OpenSSL available for hardware
optimized implementations of MD-5. */
# include "sd-dlopen.h"
SD_ELF_NOTE_DLOPEN ("random-sort",
"Support for random sorting",
SD_ELF_NOTE_DLOPEN_PRIORITY_REQUIRED,
LIBCRYPTO_SONAME);
Is there something we should do in our ld?
Thomas
