ifconfig ixg0 Very Slow

Hi,

while testing a Qotom system, dmesg at

I also tested the 10G SFP+ cages with an optical module.

However, e.g. "ifconfig ixg0" proceeded Very Slowly.  It might
print two lines, but then appear to be stuck.  For a Long time.

Pressing Ctl-T while it appeared to be stuck indicated [mutex].
And it might print two lines and then appear to get stuck again.

At one point / instance, my colleague got fed up and ended up
power cycling the box because "ifconfig ixg0" got stuck for what
appeared to be an indefinite time.

Anyone have any idea what might be going on here?
